Could you be part of our TheraPaws Mental Health team?

    Our new team

TheraPaws is now recruiting for volunteers and dogs to help us expand our reach into mental health services across London. Over the next six months we are recruiting 14 new volunteer pairs to do weekly visits to children, adolescents and adults who are struggling with mental health issues. This could range from special education schools or a mental health ward in a hospital, a dedicated mental health centre or community meet ups. If you are passionate about the power of the human animal bond and can spare an hour every week then please think about volunteering.

    Am I suitable to volunteer?

There are a few things that we ask of our human volunteers.

    • Must be able to make a regular commitment to a venue in London
    • Must be available for regular visits (weekly or fortnightly) that last between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the energy of the dog.
    • Must engage with the people you meet in the venues
    • Must be willing to undergo a DBS check
    • Must be able to commit for at least six months
